No, fear not, we won’t serve you haggis (although those adventurous enough to have tried it will tell you it’s actually pretty tasty!).

Food-wise, the specialty will begin with the Futurity Lunch in the Courtyard at noon on Wednesday. The missed specialty year left the Futurity with an embarrassment of riches, so this year it will be giving back by providing a gratis lunch for all exhibitors and breeders of 2022 Futurity nominees. Those not in that category who wish to partake may purchase tickets. The lunch will comprise chunky chicken salad with an array of fresh seasonal fruit; breadsticks and butter; coffee, tea, milk, or soda; and a chef’s choice dessert.

Wednesday evening, our Welcome Reception in the Courtyard will feature a selection of hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, with red or white wine or a non-alcoholic beverage.

To prevent a glut of us descending on the hotel for lunch on Friday and Saturday, box lunches may be ordered for delivery at ringside. The boxes will contain a sandwich, potato chips, an apple, a cookie, condiments, a napkin and plasticware, and a soft drink. On Friday, you will have a choice of tuna salad and lettuce on a buttery croissant or a croissant with juicy slices of turkey breast, swiss cheese, lettuce and sliced tomato. 

On Saturday, the choices will be a croissant stacked with tender hickory smoked ham, lettuce, sliced tomato, and cheddar cheese, or an oven-roasted turkey wrap sandwich – roasted turkey breast, thinly sliced and wrapped in a fresh tortilla with lettuce, tomato, and swiss cheese. On both days, there is a vegetarian option, consisting of a croissant with cheddar cheese, mushrooms, cucumber, lettuce, and sliced tomato.

Friday night will be our raffle and silent auction night. We will have a buffet dinner, with the following items for your choice:  

Caesar Salad – Romaine lettuce, parmesan cheese, bacon, croutons, and house-made Caesar dressing

Breadsticks and butter

World Famous Frankenmuth® Chicken

Jaeger Schnitzel – Boneless pork loin broiled and topped with special house-made jaeger (hunter’s) mushroom sauce  

Smoked rubbed beef brisket

Whipped potatoes

Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn dressing and gravy

Rice pilaf

Peas and mushrooms

Glazed baby whole carrots

Frankenmuth strawberry rum torte

Coffee, tea, milk, or soda

On Friday, the vegetarian plate will be Stuffed Red Peppers —A blend of red quinoa, jasmine rice, and the Inn’s own herbed rice stuffed into red peppers and topped with marinara sauce. Served with chef’s blend steamed vegetables. This is also gluten free. Vegetarians will receive the same salad and dessert as those selecting from the buffet.

On Saturday evening, our auction will be held with a live auctioneer. A cash bar will be open starting at auction time. During the hour preceding dinner, there will be an Around the World cheese board and vegetable tray with tangy dip to tide you over until our Banquet buffet, which will give you choices of:

Cranberry Almond Salad – Iceberg and romaine lettuces, spinach, red onion, toasted sliced almonds, dried cranberries, swiss cheese, and  house-made sweet oil and vinegar dressing

Breadsticks and butter

Baked Salmon filets with a scallion beurre blanc sauce

Carved Prime Rib roast

Herbed baked redskin potatoes

Smashed Yukon Gold potatoes with garlic

Rice pilaf

Ginger garlic green beans

Broccoli with cheese sauce

Caramel bourbon hot fudge over caramel pretzel ice cream

Coffee, tea, milk, or soda

On Saturday, the vegetarian plate will be Linguini Marinara tossed with broccoli and cauliflower, Frankenmuth blend vegetables, grilled tomato, and haystack onions. Salad and dessert are included.
