We’ve worked very hard to find food that is as affordable, and as fun, as it is delicious. Join us! Meals are about so much more than the food, it’s a chance for us all to get together!

There’s not a lot of time to order! Make sure to order before the deadlines:

May 1: Monday–Wednesday Sandscrest Coursing Lunch deadline

May 3: Tuesday pre K9-CPR Class Light Dinner, Thursday Lunch & Dinner, Friday Lunch & Dinner and Saturday Lunch & Banquet Dinner deadline

We have you covered!

A complimentary continental breakfast will be offered at Sandscrest

(our coursing site) Monday–Wednesday at 7:30 AM.

Coffee/tea/hot chocolate/muffins/donuts/bottled water will be served.

 

Coursing Lunches:

Monday – Wednesday: Entering any running events at Sandscrest? Unlike most coursing venues, ours has a catering kitchen! Lunch is being partially sponsored by a private donor!  Each kennel entered will receive 1 complimentary lunch. Additional lunches will be available at $12 each.

Boxed lunches from Sandscrest include a sandwich*, bag of chips, piece of fruit, cookie and/or granola bar, and bottle of water.

* Monday: Chicken salad slider sandwich

Tuesday: Ham & cheese wrap

Wednesday: Chicken salad slider sandwich

If you pre-enter LGRA racing or ASFA or AKC coursing, you will AUTOMATICALLY receive one free lunch for the day(s) you enter, thanks to a very generous donor. You don’t need to sign up, buy the store product, or do anything — you will automatically get the lunch. 

PLEASE NOTE: 

  • Only pre-entries qualify for the free lunch. Day-of entries do not qualify — yet another great reason to pre-enter!
  • The free lunch is per person, not per entry. 
  • FastCAT, QC’s, JC’s, and puppy fun runs do not qualify for the free lunch.
  • If you need additional lunches for friends or family or want lunch at Sandscrest on a day you are not running a dog, please order here  Coursing lunches

Lunch by the Ring — Thursday, Friday and Saturday:

Boxed lunches will be delivered to the ring at Observatory Field.

Box lunches on Thursday and Friday are $18 each, Saturday is $12. Dessert and bottled water will be served ringside.

 

Thursday Choices:

Chicken Salad, Ham Salad, or Spinach, Strawberry & Cheese w/ Dressing Sandwich. All Sandwiches come with Potato Salad and Baked Beans.

Friday Choices:

Ham or Turkey on a Hawaiian Bun or a Pepper, Spinach, Tomato, Onion & Cheese Sandwich. All sandwiches come with Macaroni Salad and Corn.

Saturday Choices:

PIZZA PARTY AT THE RING!  Pizza, Pasta, Salad & Dessert. All for $12!

Tuesday – Seminar K9-CPR Pre Class Light Dinner $20 at 6:00 pm- The hotel has generously provided a light supper for those people who are participating in the K9 CPR Class.  Follow this link to view Canine CPR meal order

Thursday Dinner — Something new! Informal buffet in the Hess Shelter – a covered dining area with a kitchen, bathrooms, and even a fireplace!

Hess is right near the ring and Wilson Lodge, and there is plenty of parking.  Detailed Map .

Thursday Dinner Includes: Sliced Ham, Chicken Alfredo, Veggie Alfredo, Green Beans, Salad, Broccoli Salad, Parsley Potatoes & Rolls, apple crisp, and berry cobbler. Cost: $34

 

 

 

Our Friday Dinner, in the Oglebay Ballroom, Includes: Taco Bar & Rice Bowl Bar!

A buffet of shredded chicken, taco beef, steak strips, cheese, black beans with lentils,  lettuce, tomato, sour cream, salsa, hard and soft shells.  Cost: $37 

Friday night also features our Silent Auction and Raffles!  Plus We are offering a special raffle of two gift bags for two lucky people at this dinner! Write your name on the back of your Friday dinner ticket to be entered in the drawing to be held in the ballroom during the Raffles and Silent auction!!  You must be present to win.

Our Saturday Dinner will be a traditional Banquet in the Oglebay Ballroom, complete with cash bar. 

Saturday Banquet Options (tip, fees, and tax included):

  • Grilled chicken breast with mushroom marsala wine sauce and mushroom risotto – $51
  • Pasta Primavera with seasonal vegetables – $51
  • Herb-roasted pork loin with apple chutney and fingerling potatoes – $64
  • All entrées include Oglebay dinner rolls, salad, roasted seasonal vegetables (included in pasta primavera), dessert, iced tea, lemonade, freshly brewed regular and decaffeinated coffee, assorted herbal teas.
