Accommodations

Rooms:   Our block is open until April 7, 2023, in order to get the club rate. 

Please call the hotel at (877-436-1797) to make reservations. Mention that you are with the Scottish Deerhound Club to receive
the group rate in the reserved block of rooms in the Upper West and West wings of Wilson Lodge.

Rates:

One guest:   $126 *

Two guests: $144    ($72 per person *)

Three guests: $162 ($54 per person *)

Four guests:  $180    ($45 per person *)

*Rates are per night, plus taxes and applicable fees. 

Rates include a beautiful hot buffet-style breakfast daily for each person in the room – that we have been told rivals the old Basin Harbor Club breakfast.

Reservations require one night’s stay fee, plus taxes and applicable fees.

No maximum limit on the number of dogs per room. Pet friendly fee: $10.00 per room, per day, plus taxes and applicable fees. Maximum of $50.00 per room, per stay.

The hotel has cabins on the property, but the hotel did not include these in our group package. Club members are encouraged to book rooms in the club block. Booking any other type of accommodations at the hotel will not go towards supporting our Specialty expenses such as the banquet hall, meeting rooms, grounds, etc.

For those who are making plans to join us at Oglebay for the 2023
Scottish Deerhound Club of America National Specialty, I’d like to put a
reminder out there about room and meal reservations. Our specialty committee
works very hard each year to find us a site that not only will accommodate
the specialty but also is a beautiful place to stay and provides the
facilities for our various functions and dinners. These facility rooms are
costly to rent but we can typically negotiate for some room rent offsets
based on a minimum number of rooms reserved by our members and friends. So,
please, make your reservation to stay in the club block this year and help
support our specialty! It is important to our success!

Similarly, we contract for meals and snacks each year and this year is no
different. We are required to pay a set minimum fee whether meals are bought
and paid for by members or not. Spending time with our clan each year is one
of the best reasons to come to our specialties and over a meal is the
perfect opportunity. So, we are asking that you join us for our meals and
when it is time to order online, please buy the dinners and lunches offered
to help support us being able to contract successfully to hold our
specialties each year.
